24-year old righty swinging outfielder Francisco Peguero came into this season as the Giants’ #5 prospect according to Baseball America. Peguero has played in 48 games in AAA-ball so far this year and he is only 46 of 201 (.229 avg, .634 OPS) with 21 runs scored, 3 homers, 34 RBIs and 1 stolen base. He has now played in 557 games in his first 7 years in the minors and he is 661 of 2,172 (.304 avg, .766 OPS) with 318 runs scored, 30 homers, 279 RBIs and 128 stolen bases. The Giants hope that Peguero picks up the pace in AAA, just in case he’s needed in San Fran at some point this year.
